TENA TENA - South Luangwa NP

 

Tena Tena has been described by the Times of London as one of the best safari camps in Africa.

Located within the South Luangwa National Park, this small and remote camp has a wonderful position on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa river. It is open from late May to October.

There is tented accommodation with ensuite bathrooms for a maximum of 10 guests. The large custom made tents are shaded by a grove of mahogany trees. From the thatched dining room and bar guests can watch elephants, hippo and antelope on the river banks.

At the spectacular Buca Buca Lagoon, located nearby, guests can relax a morning, waiting quietly for the game to come down to feed and drink. Thanks to the remote setting the camp and its guests have these scenes to themselves.

Activities include walking, drives and night drives.
