TAFIKA
- South Luangwa NP
Tafika Camp is an authentic bush camp offering warm
hospitality and a superior safari experience with amazing
game viewing.

Located just outside the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa
National Park, it is the home and base camp of John and
Carol Coppinger’s owner-run company, Remote Africa Safaris,
which offers down to earth safaris at hand built camps in
North and South Luangwa.
Tafika has a relaxed family atmosphere. Unlike many South
Luangwa camps it stays open in the green season from
February to April.

There
is accommodation for just 10 guests in five spacious rustic
chalets, shaded by giant lead wood trees, on the banks of
the Luangwa river. Ensuite toilets and open air showers
complete the rooms.

The
restaurant has an on site chef providing three meals a day.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris and in the
wet season boating, canoeing and bird watching.
Microlighting is a superb optional extra.

Tafika plays an active role in local development by
sponsoring teachers salaries and pupils tuition at Mkasanga
School.
