ROYAL ZAMBEZI LODGE

 Situated on the banks of the Zambezi river and in the shade of mahogany trees, the Royal Zambezi Lodge is a premier lodge and its closeness to the Lower Zambezi National Park provides the perfect base for game viewing and fishing as well as canoeing and bird watching.

The timeless elegance of the thatched and copper-roofed buildings is perfectly enhanced by the natural but sophisticated furnishings and luxurious finishes. Experienced staff with a long standing reputation for service excellence ensure that any stay is a memorable one.

There is a long oval pool for cooling off or sun tanning next to the river. Guests gather at the legendary Sausage Tree Bar at sunset for drinks.

The bar is built around a venerable old tree and its timber deck extends out over the swiftly flowing channel. Guests are served early morning tea/coffee in their tents. A full English breakfast or late morning brunch is served followed by a light lunch.

Dinner is a three course meal, served under the stars or a special island dinner on the river.
