RIDGE CAMP

Named
after the elusive puku, the Puku Ridge Camp is landscaped
into a secluded ridge overlooking the Kukumba Valley.
The
diverse wildlife offers great opportunities for photography.
Guests can choose to explore on foot with a keen eyed guide
or go further afield in a 4x4 vehicle.
In the evening dining
is under the stars with the backdrop of the sounds of the
African bush.
Operated by Sanctuary Lodges & Camps this is a small and
intimate twelve bedded camp with six spacious canvas safari
tents, all offering splendid views of the flood plains
below.
Each
tent has a teak veranda with a shady pergola, a lavish
bathroom with a bath and outdoor shower, a sitting and
dressing area.
All
meals are table d’hote with a wide selection of dishes and
served outdoors whenever possible, often around the
campfire.
A
full range of game drives is offered in 4x4 vehicles with a
knowledgeable guide in the National Park. Game to be seen
includes elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo and
giraffe.
The
transfer time from Mfuwe airport is approximately 2 hours
much of which is a game drive through the South Luangwa
National Park. |
