NANZHILA
PLAINS CAMP
- Kafue National Park
Nanzhila Plains Camp
is an intimate lodge located in the remote southern sector
of Kafue National Park.
The area is best
known for its lush woodlands, the beautiful plains and the
Nanzhila stream that runs through it.
It
offers excellent opportunities for game viewing and birding,
including regular sightings of all the major carnivore
species, particularly Wild Dog and Cheetah, antelope such as
Sable and Roan, and close to 500 species of birds, including
the endemic Blackcheeked Lovebird.
The
lodge accommodates 12 guests in 4 well appointed and
spacious thatched en-suite cottages and 2 meru en-suite
tents, which blend perfectly into the undergrowth.
The
Boma is located close by on an elevated deck in the shade of
a huge Jackelberry Tree (African Ebony).
Spacious
and tastefully decorated, and overlooking a large dambo,
it’s the ideal place from which to explore this fascinating
area.
